Taking a Card Off –
Calling a bet to see one more card in a hand.
Tell – Physical
mannerism or betting pattern that unconsciously reveals
the strength or weakness of an opponent’s hand.
Tight – Player who is
very selective about hands, choosing to wait for premium
holdings and favourable situations.
Tilt – Someone who
starts playing far too many hands (and poorly, at that)
after suffering a bad beat or some similarly traumatic
experience.
Top Kicker – Best
possible high card to go with a pair. For instance,
holding AK after a flop of 4 6 K.
Top Pair – To make a
pair with the highest community card showing.
Trap – Tricking an
opponent (with either a small bet or check) into
thinking your hand is weak, when in fact it is very
strong.
Treys – Pocket 3s.
Trips – Three of a
kind.
Turn – Fourth
community card turned face up in Hold’Em and Omaha.
Two Pair – Hand that
contains two separate pairs.
