Picasso Flop A flop
containing all face cards.
Picked Off when
another player calls a player attempting a bluff.
Play Back To raise
or reraise another players bets. In Rounders, Mikey
plays back at Johnny Chan during the Taj scene.
Play The Board When
a player uses the five community cards to make their
best hand in HoldEm.
Pocket Pair Holding
a pair as ones hole cards.
Pocket Rockets
Pocket aces.
Poker Face A player
that reveals very little emotion during a hand has a
good poker face.
Position Indicates
where a player is seated at a table in relation to the
dealer button.
Post To put money
in the pot as a blind or an ante.
Pot Money or chips
that are wagered and placed in the middle of the table
during a hand.
Pot Odds A complex
calculation, factoring in a players outs, the amount
of money in the pot and how much it will cost to call a
bet.
Pre-flop Refers to
the betting round before the first three community cards
are dealt.
Premium Hands The
best possible hands, like high pocket pairs.
Price Refers to the
pot odds a player is receiving to pursue a draw.
Protect To put in a
good-sized bet or raise with the intention of protecting
a strong hand.
Puck Slang term for
the button, due to the fact it resembles a hockey puck.
Push When a player
decides to start playing more aggressively, they are
making a push.
