Face Card A king,
queen or jack.
Family Pot When all
players at the table call before the flop.
Fast A loose,
aggressive player with a propensity to gamble. The fast
player is involved in lots of hands.
Fifth Street The
final community card and last betting round in HoldEm
and Omaha (also known as the river). In Stud games,
fifth street is the third card dealt face up.
Fill Up To make a
full house.
Final Table Final
nine players of a poker tournament.
Fish A weak player
that loses money easily.
Fish Hooks Pocket
jacks.
Flash When a player
shows their hole cards they are said to be flashing
them.
Flat Call When a
player elects to simply call another players bet
instead of raising.
Flop First three
cards dealt face up in HoldEm and Omaha games. They
are community cards that each player can use to make a
hand.
Flop a Set To hit a
third card of a particular rank on the flop when holding
a pocket pair of that same rank. I.e. hitting a third
king when holding pocket kings.
Flush Having five
cards of the same suit. A flush is a very powerful hand.
Flush Draw When a
player has four cards of a certain suit and requires one
more to make a flush.
Fold To throw a
hand away and pass on betting.
Force In A forced
blind bet in Stud games, accompanied by the option to
raise to a full bet.
Four Of A Kind Four
cards of the same rank, such as four aces. Four of a
kind is an extremely rare hand to hold.
Free Card If there
is a round where nobody bets, each player is said to get
a free card.
Freeroll Popular
form of online tournament where players put in no money
of their own, but compete for a prize pool provided by
the poker room.
Freezeout - Poker
tournament that allows for no rebuys and concludes with
one player holding all of the chips.
Full House Holding
three of a kind and a pair.
